we are creating a co-op in Florida for sugar. What's the equipment needed and approximate cost to get the sugar from cane to the form (what is the form?) needed for an ethanol plant? we've got the farming part down just could use some direction on preparation for use in an ethanol plant rather than refined sugar.

You are using very high temperature for distillation.
Pls check in the lab temperature range 140-190 and vacuum 0.03torr for distillation.
High temp will increase viscocity and acid value of bio diesel.

Hello,

For interested biodiesel producers or plant mgrs, my client has a transesterification module system for sale. The refinery converts oil feedstocks into biodiesel, using palm oil, jatropha, rapeseed, etc; Ouput is 8,000-10,000 tons/pa and works independently. The refinery weighs approx 44 tons and fits on a truck container and will have to shipped from Europe. For pictures & details, please email: harrisrta1@yahoo.com

Brazil is thinking. The US needs to consider efforts in this direction. We have so many resources to maintain and supply our own needs right here in this nation. This article is truly empowering and enlightening. Thank you.

Very cool, I build biodiesel processors which turn waste vegetable oil into biodiesel. It is really amazing how simple the process is, as well as saving the customer $2-3 per gallon at the pumps. Algae biodiesel looks even more promising. I have been getting quite a large # of visitors from Brazil due to having my site in a few languages. Feel free to check it out.
